Intrepid received the SCB-27C program first, then came back to the shipyard for SCB-125, producing a distinct knuckle in the hull as far aft as the forward gun sponson. Her sisters that got both modernization programs in one yard period do not have that knuckle. All SCB-27A carriers have that knuckle, by the way…
