I dunno why you'd even call it ugly, the shading looks fine. Sorry that it's not ultra-high-definition-normie-hentai-pumped-out-from-japanese-artists daily. Why don't you uh, do what you like, instead of judging what other people like.

Artists with more simple styles do better shading and coloring than scruffy, plus he draw incredibly bland facial expressions.
