"Oh wait this is from japan creator"
All anime is from Japan, anime itself is from Japan, if you didn't know this already then................
"Some people are going to accuse us of racism, sexism, homophobia etc"
I don't know how you interpret this show, but this show is a show from Japan and according to Japanese people, the characters are Japanese (hence their names). And no one has pink and green hair in real life, so don't go down that delusional route.
If some group in the west wanted to claim anime is racist, they would be arguing from a position of ignorance and racism within itself (which would be ironic), because they would be ignorantly appropriating the characters to themselves and then claiming it's racist based on that (however the characters are not meant to be them to begin with), so it would be hilariously ironic.
Anime isn't sexist generally either, large parts of the fanbase of anime are actually girls and many anime artists are women. There is no evidence that anime is homophobic either, a few anime series have gay characters and I am yet to find an anime that tries to shame homosexuality.
Overall, your comment screams of a victim complex.
