@d:fox879 I've just seen the movie and the author can say all he (or the marketing department) wants, but I see no reason why that invention by Melissa, a convenient story device which allows Deku to shoot even some 100% attacks with no damage to his body, couldn't be replicated.

^It’ll take a while to build a new one, during which time Melissa will be too busy with college courses to focus on it. And keep in mind that MHA just finished its first year in-universe, so it’s only been a few months since I-Island.

Not to mention, the device was imperfect. It ultimately didn't withstand the full power of his quirk. Obviously still worth rebuilding, but she'll likely want to do further research and make it ever sturdier than it was before.
