It's interesting arrows were used in war for a large chunk of human history, when guns came we moved away from the arrow and now in an age where directed-energy weapons are still in their infancy tank armor has gotten so good that anti-tank rifles are obsolete and the the cheaper method to kill a tank without dropping an expensive missile on it is to shoot a metal arrow or dart at it.
We've gone full circle. We've returned to the arrow and will remain that way till we can't past mass producing defensive energy weapons and move on to offensive energy weapons. Even when we get offensive energy weapons, I think we'll still keep the arrow, energy weapons have their limits with weather that missiles can overcome, they are meant to compliment bullets and missiles, not replace them.
