all i know is there will be a lot of female rape death scenes in this from that start still some are lucky to live if they are found in time

Episode 2 aired not to long ago and they actually cut out 2 rape scenes that was in the light novel/manga.
Aside from episode 1 (which was probably done to make the setting of the story clear), it looks like they're toning down the anime just a tiny bit and focusing more on the story with Goblin slayer and his crew.
