I always liked how Chun-Li didn't have to dress in revealing outfits or act overly flirty to be considered sexy and there was just an audience there that took a liking to her. Only then did shower scenes, swimsuits and skimpy dresses came out. Because there was demand and people wanted it. Later female fighters definitely upped the sex appeal because sex sells but Chun-Li always has an added bit of class and staying power.
