What could've been!

I feel really sorry for the child of both of them for not being able to know his/her dad after what happened at the ending of the last film in the trilogy.

It was selfish on his part, but in the end, he spared a civilization that knew nothing of hate from actually experiencing it the way that he did. He felt that Maina, her people, and their child would have a better future if a remnant of mankind's past who has held on to their hatred for a single being for years was not around. Also, just like that exif guy said Ghidora will always be watching him, so he believed that no matter what it was he did for the better, so long as he lived the inevitable was bound to happen: Ghidora would end up returning. So rather than have Maina, her people and their child go through what he went through he chose to give his own life to give mankind a chance to start over anew: Without the feeling of having hatred to another being. This also prevented the other survivors from advancing since I think they were counting on that mecha. This way they could not become advance and become targeted by Godzilla causing history to repeat itself. In other words "The ends justify the means" I think it the way to put it.

This series sucked.

Get the guys who did the Netflix Castlevania series to handle the next Godzilla anime.

I would love if they would adapt the GODZLLA ONGOING and especially RULERS OF EARTH comics, those were a fun read!

Nah, I perfer a reboot for entire Godzilla anime trilogy itself
1. Give some minor and cast character have backstory
2. Give us more new original characters that doesn't exist in film itself
3. I would perfer yuko tani has main protagonist rather than haruo because he so bland and pathetic as hell, give us like yuko backstory and tell us where
Are her freaking parents because they weren't even shown at all
And give us more yuko personality and relationships with haruo
4. Turn the entire anime in 2d animation not cgi
5. Toho is fine with animation but give produce it but give us a different anime studio with a better stuff

for me, the trilogy was near perfection.
The animation was enjoyable, but then again im one of the few who like netflix' typical 3d animated style (except godzilla itself, that was kinda ugly). The mech vultures animation during flight which was pure eyecandy.

I also liked that the show had a great moral philosophy that kinda seems open for interpretation and how the MC was duped into murdering a good man when he became entangled in the philosophy of the wrong people. Tho it might have still been for the best (a metalic nano-tech earth? that somehow seems wrong)

I also felt the end pairing was good, loves not so linear, just because you grew up with someone doesnt mean youre destined for one another. Besides she kinda sealed her fate in siding with the extremist binary technophiles, just as the MC condemned himself for trusting a cult.

Also, it will always be in my head-cannon that he somehow ejected. That was sad. It was also sad that humanity didnt learn its lesson and embrace both tech and nature as being vital for humans without people displacing nature. In the end I do think the most human aspect of this show was just how flawed everyones thinking was.

I feel bad that this blue haired asshole is the character they felt was worthy of being named after Haruo "Mr. Godzilla" Nakajima.
