Tragic backstory isn’t wholly unusual in anime. He’s just good looking, that’s all. I doubt he’d get all those girls ready to jump his gun if he was overweight or his features were broader and less delicate. Plenty of girls can get by with just their looks too so being shallow is not exclusive to any gender.

I swear it's like have the Sasuke fands forget how many times he almost killed Sakura. He's not a good dude even by the end fo the series, he's just welcomed back into the village like he didn't do some awful stuff. It feels hollow and unwarranted. So a alot of people hate on him.

Personally I think he's just poorly written Shadow the Hedgehog.
