It’s good to see Claire in the games more even though this isn’t really a new chapter in her story. She and especially Rebecca, I feel were severely under utilized. Not that all the games should be a revolving door just cycling through the same characters because that’ll probably make the world feel incredibly small and limiting. Maybe just mention them or have them as a supporting role or maybe even a cameo if you’re not gonna use em as the main.

Yeah, Claire was always my favorite RE heroine and it seemed like she disappeared for a while. Then again, not including remakes, she's been in 3 main games so far (2, CVX, Rev 2), which is only 1 less than Jill, I think (1, 3, 5, Rev). And Claire's been in one of the CGI movies. So Rebecca's probably more relevant there. Would've been cool to see Billy Coen and Carlos Oliveiras back, too. Maybe Nikolai as another recurring villain if the RE Devil is really dead for good. I'm hoping they Remake Code Veronica. 3, too, but I've gotten my Nemesis fix in some of the more recent games. Alexia's my second favorite villain from the franchise.
