I see, this is based off an old book "After Man, a Zoology of the Future", by Dougal Dixon. One of the predators in it is called the Nightstalker and is some sort of future land-based bat predator.

The book has been out of print since 1981, but you can still find pics of a page or two on the net, like www.mun.ca/biology/scarr/Dixon_Night_Stalker.jpg
