Well Criterion is releasing all the films from the Showa series in a boxset including for the first time in the west the Japanese cut of King Kong vs Godzilla. Maybe they kept Katsura's suregy scene in the Japanese cut of Terror of Mechagodzilla, along with the suicide and two teens being killed.
