Remember, in the world of pokemon, nearly every young person is physically fit, it's just that the anime is soo cartoonish it's hard to tell just by looking at them. remember, these are people who quite literally walk the earth. seriously, when was the last time you saw the main cast actually DRIVE anywhere? If they ride something, it's because of the plot, or because it's a "Local necessity" like a lift at a ski lodge. Seriously, between healthy meals, and all the damn walking, and running from pokemon, the people of Ash's world are a hell of a lot more physically fit than people IRL. So yeah, it's a world of fit bitches!
