Yeah, Helena was a part of security and they held her sister hostage for leverage to be able to infect the president. Deborah ended up being mutated into a mindless monster that tried to kill her own sister whom spent most of her time looking for her to try and save her but in the end she had to be put down. So yeah, it was never a really happy story for the two but at least they’re not trying to kill each other right now.
