As a dragonball fan since early childhood I'd have to say I'm pretty biased. I do agree that most of the newer animes are pretty spectacular but some oldies are too good. I think about Bleach, Akira, Sailor Moon, the older Gundam series, Yu Yu Hakusho, the onetime 2d Berserk anime that is slightly inaccurate compared to the manga, Cowboy Bebop, all the iconic classics. I think those are still relevant and rewatchable.
