Most people don't age well due to stress and all the other unhealthy things that tend to come with it.

Women have it pretty bad there and parents are even worse.

It is why real life GILFS are hard to come by. They aren't even that common in anime for that matter. Sanae only became one because she was already a MILF and Key's character designs tend to be a bit static.
