Maybe this is just me but I wish that the countless identical police girls had more interactions with her since their line of work would put them at odds with one another. Like a cops and robber dynamic and rivalry. I just feel like we missed out on some sassy exchanges or banter and cat fights just to see Pikachu or something launch these ineffectual but charming and attractive bad guys every episode while the police just are sort of there not really doing much.

I agree. Watching the first season especially, it seems like Team Rocket was a huge writing crutch they used. Something interesting would be happening in an episode, but all of the sudden here’s Team Rocket, with another identical encounter and ending. It’s pretty frustrating to watch.
