Well multiple endings do encourage replay ability and multiple play throughs. Not exactly a bad thing to have in a game.

More than her death scene (which will never have the same impact it once had, because it relied heavily on the element of surprise) I hope they won't change her personality. In all the Compilation Aerith has been kind off white-washed, in the moral sense. She was a flirt and a troublemaker who would threaten to cut off Corneo's balls and scam thugs thinking she was the other kind of "flower girl". Yet in most of post-FF7 renditions she's just a saint with a super connection to the Planet. I'd hate the remake to do that too...

Yep killing her off was pretty ballsy. She had many "main heroine" traits so no one saw that coming. But she never had the personality of the typical JRPG heroine - that was for Tifa instead.

Which is probably why I never liked Tifa much. Except for her boobs of course.
