Anon 5, people hated the Superman/Wonder Woman ship so much that DC retconned it out of existence with Superman: Reborn. Not even kidding; after that story, it’s shown that Clark and Diana never dated. DC editorial mandates are INSANE.

Although I don’t think Chi-Chi did herself too many favours by being handed by a writer that doesn’t really have a head for women or romance, I honestly think she deserves better than Goku. He’s kind of thoughtless, irresponsible and pretty much lets everyone else do the parenting in his place. He’s neither a great father or husband and his body and faithfulness (not in this scenario) might be the only redeeming qualities he has in a relationship.

Considering she's as annoying as she is, and what she made out of Gohan, I can't really blame anyone for disliking her.
Goku's a Saiyan and it's pretty clear he would've been better off with a strong warrior female than a housewife.
