Anon4, you forgot to take in account a few things. As much as I hate Dragonball Evolution, you made some pretty bad comparisons. From the 1970's to 2010, Inflation has made a 461.9% change to our money. So if my math is correct, 11 Million dollars in the 1970's is 50,809,000 dollars today. Giving Alien a much bigger budget.

Also note that Alien didn't have to many sets as the majority of the film was set in the spaceship. Dragonball Evolution is at a disadvantage here as it's "suppose" to be based on an adventure story, often changing the scenes.

The next time you're watching that 2004 version of the Phantom of the Opera with someone, point out that the actress who played Christine also played Bulma in Dragonball Evolution.
