What I love about their relationship is the way that Hana genuinely enjoys the BDSM.
I see a lot of BDSM jokes in anime that just boils down to one sadistic character or one masochist character showing their degenerated tastes as the punchline for a joke or other characters reacting in disgust to them (which isn't a problem on itself, I'm just tired of the saturation of those archetypes), but here Hana enjoys getting the beating by Kurae, and in turn Kurae likes to deliver the beating.
It's kinky, but a pretty healthy depiction where they both look forward to the act and have a good time enjoying each other.
