I'm really hoping them using Gamera as a placeholder monster in this concept art means they are seriously considering getting the rights to put Gamera in a Monsterverse film and is not just a cute joke to tease fans.

So turns out the director wanted to get Kumonga, Anguirus, Kamacuras and Baragon and yes even Gamera, so these weren't gonna be placeholders. But they decided against it cause since they'd be spending money on a bunch of monsters for few second cameos and just made their own original ones for the finished product.

Still wonder if Toho would have been cool with Gamera being there since he's from a rival film company.

Also crazy to see official art of Godzilla and Gamera together, especially since Gamera hasn't been in a film for over a decade. And no the 50th anniversary short doesn't count.
