Mai's already in DOA. The idea of her being in other platforms while she is doing the DOA games would probably be a conflict of interest as Temco would feel cheated that a borrowed character they agree to host in their marquise game, is also in another competitor's games. Otherwise, Terry is a good choice. Too bad Geese is being borrowed by Namco-Bandai; it would have been interesting how that rivalry play out in Smash.
