Yeah, Sakurai was just as disappointed in the decision as us fans were. CERO are the real ones to blame. That's why he actually said "Smash Ultimate is CERO rated for good boys and girls." He was calling them out on their decision, but the translators changed it because they didn't want to drag the ESRB into it, because they had no say in the decision.
