@ FoxeyeValkyrie: I'm afraid not. Some website, called NintendoSoup, was spreading false infomation on Gou's gender-identity. The problem with that statement was that the sources they used identify Gou specifically as male, so the author of that article was quickly called out on it.

I wonder what Gou and Koharu's dub names will be. But what I really want to see, since Ash and co are traveling in all the regions, I hope we'll see Misty and Brock come back for a few eps like we did in Sun/Moon since I'm sure they'll visit Kanto. Maybe we'll also see May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie, too.

Fun fact: Super Mario’s Birdo is transgender. Japan doesn’t do LGBT rights to the same extent as in the West, but it still considered extremely rude not to refer to a transgender person by their chosen gender and the Japanese don’t do rude.
