So does that crown take away all of his strength and abilities? I know his size and mass have drastically changed but it’s not like he’s a completely different “person” or does it just render you as passive and helpless as a Peach?

In typical hentai tradition, once a woman starts being raped she loses all her strength to physically fight back.
She may still be unwilling and able to verbally fight back but, for some reason they lose all other means to fight back.

Or at least that's how it worked in NSMB. For hentai though, it's a matter of headcanon. She can be as strong or as weak as you want to believe.
