Name: Electromagnetic Induction Rifle (A.K.A. Infantry-Employed Electromagnetic Induction Rifle)

Weapon Type: Dual Configuration: Bullpup-Type Submachine Railgun (primary), Pistol Railgun (secondary)

Ammo: 6mm special alloy pellets

Power: Batteries

Firing Method: Electromagnetic

Range & Power: Equal to a .338 Lapua Magnum Sniper Rifle.

Firing Mode/speed: Single, burst, semi-auto and fully automatic

Number of Rounds: Unknown (high capacity due to ammo size and machine gun nature)

Size & weight: Rifle configuration has a height of 230mm (9 inches), a length of 470mm (18 inches) and a weight of 2.7kg (about 5 pounds), pistol configuration has a height of 170mm (6 inches), a length of 120mm (4 inches) and a weight of 650g (1 pound)

The EIR lacked iron-sights in both it's rifle and pistol form. The rifle form has a stock for more steady aim and to lessen recoil, and a rail for easy storage or to mount additional weapons such as a grenade launcher or scoop or laser sights for better aiming. In rifle form the pistol's grip is used as a forgrip to fight recoild and for more stable aiming. The stock could be removed allowing the front portion of the weapon to be used as a pistol. Due to it's electromagnetic nature, a close eye had to be kept on the battery charge as well as the ammo count. The batteries could be made to last longer before needing a recharge by lowering the voltage at the cost of lower range and power.

Due to it's electromagnetic firepower & range as well as it's rapid fire & high capacity, the EIR is for all intents and purposes a fully-automatic submachine sniper railgun in rifle form and possibly a fully-automatic railgun glock in pistol form.

Well, I guess it'd be more accurate to say the pistol form is like a fully automatic railgun magnum.
