Capcom doesn't even need to pay artists like this to make this stuff. It just happens. All it takes is a day after a character reveal to get a decent piece.

Although I wouldn’t say all the artwork and designs from Capcom has been stellar, I definitely don’t think it should be encouraged not to pay people for the work they’ve done and cut costs by simply outsourcing.

Good ideas definitely can from fans though and I definitely don’t think they should be altogether ignored or dismissed... because something can be big on concept or quality alone but it’s unlikely that something would’ve gotten as far as it did without the fans in the first place.
