Simp is the short version of the word simpleton. Both ways of using the word are derogatory and insulting in nature. To say the simp has lost it's meaning isn't at all true, considering it is a NEW word. Simpleton is a completely different word than simp, such as the word pie does not mean the same thing as the word pie chart. All words have meaning, but internet discussions about why words are dumb or why they are dumb are irrelevant and inconclusive. Your welcome. :3
