I sense a problem. A cowgirl can either be the female version of a cowboy, or a girl that's part cow.

That does pose a problem of sorts because a lot of people use "cowgirl" for females wearing cow outfits or that are part cow.

I think if people could be a little more literal, the tags would be fine. cow_girl would be a girl who is part cow or dresses like a cow; cowgirl would be the female equivalent of cowboy.
