The K11 is interesting in that out of all these attempts to make a combination multi-shot grenade launcher with smart airburst rounds, an assault rifle attached and a scope that can do night-vision and has a computer in it to program the airburst rounds, the K11 is one of the few to actually be fielded. The other was China's copy, the QTS-11. The XM29 didn't make it out of testing and neither did the Papop nor Metal Storm's AICW. Even the XM25 got fielded and used in the wars in the middle east, and that's pretty much just the grenade launcher component of the XM29 minus the assault rifle half.
Critic say its a silly concept but I think it can work as long as you make the guns lighter and less bulky, not an easy task I know since you're combining the bastard offspring of two guns and a computer.
