And Kirito is a well more refined version of Shinji

It seems Japan loves copying classic characters in designs + traits and then redefines them into a new individual with similarities for their story plot with extra addons in making their own characters better than what came before in some ways.

kirito is not a refined shinji
kirito is a "gary stu" character
shinji is a kid that regular break-downs because he has the highest-rate sync with unit 1
