I think this a reference to that classic support the war effort poster circa World War II. The one with the “We Can Do It!” slogan with a lady flexing her guns, ready to support the troops and pitch in.

I’m sure that particular piece has a title but I don’t know it at the top of my head. I think the lady depicted in it goes by the moniker of Rosie the Riveter though.

Probably not an accident that a fused being composed of two characters is doing a homage to that. Really emphasizes the WE in that phrase.

If it makes you feel any better, them ladies probably won’t end up accomplishing much and Goku will still end up being the most important and powerful hero of the day. Happy now?
