Why does she sound like a putzy cheerleading teen thats been smoking since she was 3? Kinda ruins the badass persona she emits otherwise...
It's the equivilant of some giant burly guy coming in sounding like he just huffed helium as someone kicked him in the balls and he's chirping like a chipmunk... It goes from scary to just hilarious.

^Allow me to interject Anon. I felt the dub completely enraptured a lot of the characters from the series, and I've watched both dubbed and subbed. This is why I chose the dubbed version.
Revy, in my mind, is an unrestrained bloodthirsty character that gets off for a fight, which I feel is perfectly captured here. You seem to think she's supposed to sound like some deep voiced badass here, which I don't see why you would. She's always came across to me like a thrill-seeking character.
This is one of the few animes I would rather watch dubbed than subbed just by how all the characters sound like they are supposed to sound and the voice acting is really great. I suggest you watch it dubbed, you'll be surprised how good it actually is when you hear all the character's voices.
