I think pervs see, focus on and lewd whatever the heck they want to regardless if it was intentional or not. Media steeped in horror tend to be more openly sexual anyway since they’re selling to a more supposedly mature audience who should be able to take it or gravitate to that sort of thing already.

Thing is, Anon>> #2509790, RE3 Remake went on the opposite of direction, giving us a Jill Valentine "closer to earth", despite her having a pretty face, desexualizing and giving her a more petite frame, I can get why a physically fit woman can get a smaller bust, but her thighs, butt and overall shape was very petite, thus making her looking overall very frail looking.
I do agree that horror invites itself to be more symbolic in some ways for example, Nemesis tentacles. SH3 makes it a great point talking about teen fears like teen pregnancy, sexual harassement, rape, etc.
