I always thought Gohan looked a little better ending up with Ireza even if she wasn't a hard headed fighter like Videl. Not only was she attractive, but her personality was very appealing as well.

This is Dragonball. Which in turn, is from Toriyama. In Toriyama's works (and the Dragon Quest games where Toriyama is in charage of the art) it is a non-written RULE that whenever the main character (and/or his sons/descendants) are sought after by many girls, they will always end up with the most plain-looking one, completely overlooking the hottest ones.

It happend when Goku married Chichi instead of Bulma, it happened when HeroV married Bianca instead of Nera/Debora, it happened when HeroVIII married Medea instead of Jessica (a total bombshell) and it happened again when Gohan married Videl instead of Ireza...

Its a damn-stupid trend on every animemanga/game where Toriyama is involved T_T
