Yeah yeah it might be self inserting to an extent but so what? Isn't basically all porn something where you self insert yourself into the situation being presented? What's wrong with fantasizing about helping someone? I agree it's kind of autistic but we're not exactly expecting shakespeare or van gogh levels of artistry here anyway. The art serves its purpouse as either visual accompaniment for the story or simply for some greasy waifu nerd to feel good about, and furthermore the message isn't even bad. It's not like it's letting you live a fantasy of raping or killing someone.
