God, I miss this version of the anime. The series has taken such a horrid turn for the worse since the Kalos saga ended. Ash was finally at his best without needing a level reset, his team was the best he's ever had, his companions were all great characters with great development, and the battles were at their peak performance. Truly, it was the Pokemon anime at its best.

Y'all are objectively wrong. While I loved XY, SuMo was phenomenal and the current series is such a love letter to the fans and everything that came before it. If you really think XY was the peak, then you're just clinging on to something that never could have lasted. In a way, you're no different than Genwunners.
