@ Anonymous 2535363 - That's one of the biggest problems when it comes to the Harem genre, at some point the MC just becomes irrelevant despite the fact the creator tried to make them connect to the reader/watcher. At a certain point fans just forget about the MC and just focus on the girls, and it's ironic cause the same happens with the creator who focuses more on the girls then on any kind of development. It's one of the reasons why I consider the Harem genre to be more of a wasted genre, I mean how many MC's in the Harem genre even actually needs/wanted a Harem to begin with? Honestly this question can be answered with one hand, meaning that out of the hundreds of stories within the Harem genre only a few of them actually even deserves to have the MC even have a Harem.

I get what your saying but the same could honestly be said about us. I'm willing to bet none of us have really done anything of note to "deserve" a harem but most of us probably would not turn one down.

@ Livingcorpse well, if multiple women were interested in ME, i'd be trying to actually, y'know, improve myself as a person once i actually accepted that i had a reason to hope for anything but a lonely, depressing, paranoid future.

Well yeah even if it's just a non-harm romantic relationship, we should improve ourself. Heck even if it's a platonic relation ship and not romantic one we should still do it, no one wants a shitty friend. Really we should improve ourselves even if we're alone, better to have abs or good art or musical skills than just being alone. Yeah you're still alone but at least you have something.
