risk of ill-effects only occurs after generations of inbreeding ie many historical royal families. A brother and sister are no more at risk than any two random strangers.
it's a widely circulated myth that won't die to to the stigma surrounding incest.

Let's be real here, no one wants to fucks their sibling, their parents or other blood relative, the chance is just too low. No matter how much you wanted it to be mainstream.

Entirely true. I did an experiment with guppies on the subject of incest leading toward genetic modifications. It is true incest can mutate DNA but that takes a LONG time. In my tests it took until the 250th generation till I noticed differences. And the genetic changes are not for the worse either. The guppies always changed fin shapes and color patterns but their life spans were the same. Truth of the matter is incest will not eventually kill of a family. In truth the more a being or creature mates with it's kin and the more babies it produces, the higher the change the DNA makes so that the creature or being is unlike it's ancestors kin.

To add on: the more babies in a incest family the better for change. If you just kept breeding only one person over and over then you'd get a mutant with bad defects. So if your in a incest family, make a lot of babies with your sister. Then one male son breeds several sisters, then their babies and so on.
