Not really... Japanese people wear masks the second they get so much as a sniffle and look how little the virus has spread there... an anime/Japanese girl wearing a mask is not "Advertising Covid-19"

Second thought, People have been drawing anime girls in surgical/medical masks, medical eyepatches etc.. for A VERY LONG TIME. Certainly far longer than COVID-19 has been a thing. You only THINK it advertises COVID-19 because of it being released more recently.
