I'm more of a NaruAnko or NaruTsu person myself but NaruHina isn't bad if it's done just right. Just, most people absolutely suck at it so yeah.

Actually Anon 6, I think there's an anime rule somewhere that states that the woman whose destined to be his soul mate can withstand such occurrences uninjured. So if Hinata is the one, this is a possibility. Especially if you factor in that other anime rule that states that no matter how much of a monster the main character becomes (in the literal sense, not evil bastard sense), and no matter how fractured his mind is, he will always recognize his true love, and will never harm her. In fact she's usually the only one who can bring him back to himself.
