Sorry to bust that bubble, but upon checking the games in the series and the mythology Mara came from, Buddhisim, Mara is actually a male. The only times Mara has ever been female is in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Shin Megami Tensei IV & Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. All the other games in the Megami Tensei series, including Persona, has Mara listed as Male.
