In an alternative universe

Eren declares his love for Mikasa, realizes he loves her. The rumbling stops, but casualties happen. In the end, to prevent Eren from being captured and tried for his role on the rumbling, Armin cuts off Eren's lef hand and declares Eren is dead and he killed him, allowing Eren and Mikasa to leave unnoticed. In the end, both start a new life, a new family, away from humanity, away from the titans, in a faraway location
