Lament of the Highborn is probably the most chilling song in the entire game. Bravo on capturing the mood the necklace puts her in.

just so you know, the necklace was a gift from the love of her life, who was killed off by the scourge.
she used to be a blood elf, but was tainted into undead by arthas (aka litch king at the time)
when she was brought back, all she knew and cared about was gone, and so she swor vengence against the scourge.

@anon2

She was a high elf, not a blood elf. She was dead long before the rise of Kael'Thas Sunstrider's campaign into Outland.

Well to be clear it was a gift from her elder sister, who fallowed the alliance forces through the dark protal to Drainor with kardgar. She was never seen again. Currently she is MIA, as we do not know if she was killed, and she does not show up in outland anywere.

The queen of the Undead city wasone of the Night elfs that were sent to kill the bad blood elf leader. She died, by the hands of the scrouge. Was enslaved, then lead a revolt and over threw the scrouge to the point she wasallowed to become the undeads Queen. The monster that drops that necklace is in fact her undead sister, who also became a scrouge puppet. Yes, the gift brings back those memories, and she does eventually pick the necklace up, and puts it away as a keep sake....And the Lament of the Highborn was one of the best songs and was chilling in the game.

Anon6, your lore skills suck horribly.
The necklace was a gift from Alleria, whom is still MIA, before she went to the Dark Portal. When Arthas began his initial siege on Quel'Thalas, the Tower was one of the first settlements to be taken by the Scourge, Sylvanas never retrieved the necklace until it was brought to her by (Horde Character Here).

Anon 6 fails, sylvanas was a high elf, not a night elf, she tried to defend quel'thalas from the arthas and the scourge but failed horribly, she was then raised as a banshee and eventually broke free of scourge patrol and gathered other undead who are now the forsaken. There was no such thing as blood elves when arthas tried to destroy the sunwell, they only came after when kael'thas led the remaining high elves into outland and gave them the name blood elves

Yes, Sylvanas was a high elf who, as Ranger-General of the kingdom, fought to defend Quel'thalas from the Deathknight Arthas and the scourge. Arthas and her fought one on one, but Arthas dealt the winning and crippling blow. He was not satisfied with letting her have peace in death though, as a hatred between them had already begun to burn, and instead of letting the captured Ranger-General die, raised her as a Banshee without her free will. Eventually she regained her free will and worked with the Dreadguards, who already planned betrayal, to finally kill Arthas. They failed to do so, but she repossessed her old body, finding that nature refused her wishes in her risen body, and turned to Necromancy and Dark Arts, creating the Dark Rangers and eventually becoming Queen of all the undead re-born with free will, the Forsaken.
