Do you even know how hard it is to get third party characters they don't own the rights to to be on the roster to begin whit? Nintendo can't use characters they don't own whit out permission from the owner of the character. Instead of whining about something stupid, learn how the world of gaming works.

Without fans, gaming companies have nothing. The fact Nintendo even got them as Mii costumes shows they had to work something out. But I think this was just kinda half-assed on Nintendo's part. Maybe they can't get every character, but there was a lot they could have gotten.

It says "there's was la ot they could have gotten", on a game that has over 80 playable characters, including characters fans wanted like Ridley, Banjo and Kazooie, Sephiroth and frickin' Minecraft Steve, over 100 stages, over 1000 songs, and it still one more fighter to go as I write this...
But because Shantae finally made it as Mii costume, which in itself is accomplishment on the same level as Assasin's Creed, The Elder Scrolls, Monster Hunter and Undertale, I guess the game is a 0/10 now and Nintendo hates everyone because this random guy is upset.

And another thing, it was revealed that the dlc characters were already picked before p. plant even came out. Less people wanted to see Shantae in 2017 then in 2020
