Not wanting to live with such a power she killed herself.
Ironically, her ghost still has this power.

No. She wanted to seal the Youkai Tree Saigyou Akashi, so she commit suicide to execute that ritual

In the story I read, her body was used to place a seal on the Saigyou Ayakashi after she died. That's why she had no living memory of it. She didn't know about the tree before she died.

Since it looked like that umbrella was dropped, I would imagine this is one of the few incidents that terrified Yukari. I'm honestly trying to not picture what her expression is right now.
