both animes are good..i think some people like brotherhood better because a few people that died in 1st anime dont die in brotherhood..atleast no yet. And the series doesnt end with them stuck on an alternate world lol..so far that is. I doubt it will

Matter of opinion , yes. But Brotherhood follows the Manga more faithfully and I think that's why many people (including me) like it better.

Also it made in more recent year , so of course , the animation quality would be much better

FMA wars are annoying. The first didn't follow the manga due to the manga not being completely finished, I think they wished to avoid bringing forth spoilers. (or just for another turn of events)

If you like brotherhood, stop bitching about the first series. Both are seperate animes. Besides, all animes often follow a different path then the manga, :/ get over it.

Actually, the anime adaptation for Monster was incredibly faithful to the manga. The anime didn't skip a single line of dialogue, and very few changes were made.
