I don't like the art ... it doesn't go with cave story ... especially since Kazuma says that Quote was so well built, that he couldn't tell he was a robot. The art makes it too obvious.

Considering that most robots are pretty evidently robots in the story, and both Quote and Curly simply have a few lines here and there (which might've simply gotten exposed in the end, after all the fighting) and other than that are very human-like, it's still hard to say that he is a robot.
