You know, normally when people say their pistol is 50 caliber they mean 50 caliber pistol cartridge and not 50 caliber RIFLE ROUNDS! That round is normally used for things like heavy machine guns like the M2 Browning (or Browning M2, whichever way you wanna say it).
If the guy who made this had found a way to have it chamber a 20mm round instead (and work safely) he would have literally made a hand cannon. He wouldn't have been the first, as hand mortars were a thing but the number of handguns in the category of cannon is pretty small.
